FOR THE RECORD

I've had interesting response over a story that ran recently regarding the AFA.  I want to say that, for the record,  there are many good folks there.  In fact,  I believe most are there for the right reasons, and I consider many there to be friends.  However, it only takes a couple of people to mess things up.  I would hope that people who read the article won't paint the entire group of folks there with a broad brush.  That is wrong to do with any group, or any topic.  also, I expressed my concerns over and over, but to no avail.

  1. The crux of the problem at AFA is when you have an autocratic organization and that one leader lacks the skills (or the inclination to find out about both sides, you provide a place for a few self-interest people to gain a foot hold an have their own agenda. To them, it's about attaching yourself to power.

My interest in giving the interview was to help SAVE AFA, not tear it down. Eventually a wrong minded person is going to destroy it. They need to wake up and smell the coffee.

I agree, Don is a good, great man. But we all must realize that God uses us despite our lack of skills and our failings. Myself included. I am no saint nor can I judge others. I do know that there was little justice in what happened to me, you (Allie, Martha and half a dozen more talented folks. I also know there are many talented good folks still there that need our prayers.

When I hear of Don's greatness I can't help but think of all the dedicated, long and hard working folks that made AFA what it is today.
